Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted through a post on the X platform following the publication of the Annual Progress Report by the European Commission.

Rama describes the assessment received by Albania as a moment of pride and another step towards membership in the European Union, while emphasizing that the country still has many tasks to fulfill.

The head of government considers the current moment as a historic opportunity, warning that internal divisions should not hinder the country's European journey.

The Annual Progress Report is out. Albania is rated higher than ever before.

 Another moment of pride for European Albania.
Another significant and encouraging grade from the European Commission.
Another step forward towards the historic objective of joining Europe.

But the tasks ahead of us are still numerous, and time on the busy negotiating calendar is increasingly tight.

And this assessment does not make the problems of the country's daily life, which have had, have and will have my full attention, the government's, and the parliamentary majority's, smaller or less current. On the contrary, the high assessment of today's report motivates us to do even more and to do things even better.

The moment is optimal. The door to the EU is open and the possibility of entry is more real than ever. History will never forgive us for drowning in the dirty water of the grievances, resentments and jealousies that have continuously prevented Albania from rising to the height of its potential.
