The new Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enea Karakaçi, was introduced on Friday, after being sworn in as President. In his speech, he thanked Belinda Balluku for her support and said that his task is clear.

"I am very clear in terms of the vision, approach, objectives and what is required from the prime minister but also from the citizens, from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy. I am convinced that we will succeed in taking the challenges forward," said Karakaçi.

"I want to conclude with a thank you to the Prime Minister who has entrusted me with this task and a special thank you to you, Madam Deputy Prime Minister, for the entire journey we have made together, for your support during my journey, it has been a special day and I have collaborated with you," he said.

During the handover, Balluku praised Karakaç for the work he has done in several positions he has covered.

"Today, I have the new minister at my side, who has just begun a very important journey. I want to say a few words about Enea, as I have heard untruths, half-truths, and even lies in the last 3-4 days, just as I have heard in the last month.

"I met Enea Karakaçi in this ministry, I found her here in December 2018, even though we had worked together before, due to my previous position as head of Albanian Air Navigation," said Balluku.

"Enea has grown in this ministry, has passed through different levels, thus becoming a living proof of the development of public administration assets, and how Edi Rama's vision today has reached where a European administration should reach to bring political leaders, such as ministers, from the ranks of this administration itself," she continued.
