Former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku has reacted for the first time to the investigation being conducted by SPAK under her supervision.
In a press statement, Balluku states that a public trial is being held against her.
Balluku: Prosecutors and judges will do their duties without being influenced by public trials, by bias or lies. I have never hindered the investigation that has been going on for months, neither in my position as a minister nor as a citizen of the republic. May it continue to uncover the truth. I do not have 300 or 30 apartments. I do not have limousines, yachts or helicopters. All of these are part of a public trial that is carried out with the greatest ease, but to be honest, I grew up with public trials. Maybe my back is holding up because I have been trained and seasoned since I was little. I know how to do my job. I have burdened the Albanian government with a burden that it does not deserve because of the results that this government has brought.
