Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted after the publication of progress reports by the European Commission, presented by Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos, who congratulated the Western Balkan countries for the steps taken on the path of integration towards the European Union.
In the report, Kos mentions Albania, Moldova and Ukraine as the countries with the highest progress during the year, while singling out Montenegro as the most prepared country in the region for the enlargement process.
The Commissioner also highlighted the rapid pace of opening group chapters by Albania and the visible progress in institutional and legal reforms, which are bringing the country closer to EU standards.
In his reaction, Prime Minister Rama praised the report as a clear confirmation of the work done by the Albanian government in the integration process and emphasized that Albania will resolutely continue on the path towards full membership in the European Union.
"MartaKosEU: "Yes, we have done it and we will do everything it takes to finally sit as equals at the EU table. Let's continue, forward, together," Rama wrote on social media.
