Prime Minister Edi Rama will not participate in the EU Enlargement Summit.

Although the prime minister himself had previously announced Rama's trip to Brussels, euronews writes that Rama has canceled his participation, where the prime minister was scheduled to participate in the "EU Enlargement Summit" panel at around 2:30 PM.

Rama was expected to discuss the progress of candidate countries and the challenges of the integration process with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajic, and the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski.

The summit brings together leaders of EU member and candidate countries to discuss the future of the European integration process.

Albania continues to be considered one of the most advanced countries on the path towards membership in the European Union, with the clear objective of becoming part of the EU by 2030.
