The Republican Party has reacted to news reported today that Fatmir Mediu paid for a massage at the hotel where Trump campaign strategist and the "Great Albania" coalition, Chris LaCivita, was staying.

The statement clarifies that the news disseminated was for political manipulative purposes. PR emphasizes that it paid, according to the agreement of the opposition coalition, for LaCivita's accommodation for 3 nights of stay in Tirana. PR also clarifies that it declared every expense according to legal provisions.

"The media masseurs of government corruption reported today that Fatmir Mediu paid for a massage at the hotel where the strategist of the Trump campaign and our 'Great Albania' coalition, Chris LaCivita, was staying, as if getting a massage for 5900 lek was a crime, a shame, or a 'foreign show'." This is done for political manipulative purposes, by obedient servants of power.

We clarify to the public opinion that: The Republican Party, in accordance with its obligations and the agreement of the opposition coalition, has paid, in accordance with the law, the expenses of accommodation at the Xheko Imperial Hotel in Tirana, for the accommodation of the American campaign team, Mr. Chriss LaCivtta, Paul Manaford and Lord Stewart Jackson from the British Parliament for 3 nights of stay in this hotel, owned by a respected Albanian businessman, with a value of 27,300 lek per night. These expenses were not paid by Fatmir Mediu, but by the Republican Party. All these expenses were declared by the PR in accordance with the law," the reaction states.
