Prime Minister Rama did not spare the ironies to those who have protested so far against the construction of HPPs in the Vjosa River and the declaration of the river as a national park. Rama said that those who were looking for the wild Vjosa, in fact had tamed all the other rivers of Europe by building HPPs on them.
" When they tell us that this is the last wild river in Europe, they forget that other wild rivers have calmed them down and here they want it wild. We are not against because we are doing what we are doing because we think it is the future.
For those who love the wild Vjosa we can not build a reserve with wild people to suit their enjoyment of a wild river in Europe, but turn it into a space that protects the environment and nourishes the generations to come. "I leave Vjosa to those to whom I will leave the inheritance ", Rama said during the signing ceremony of the agreement with the "Patagonia" organization.
The Prime Minister responded to all those who made articles and accusations against the government for not declaring Vjosa National Park, saying that now is the day he should take revenge by giving them answers.
" We are passing from a protected area to a National Park. "As I said, the Vjosa is the last river wildlife that will not enter the circus of domesticated animals of the European power system, as all other rivers have become like those cats and circus dogs that produce energy" , said Rama, meanwhile who said that so far who has made the accusations has been a hypocrite, as according to him it was this majority that stopped the construction of HPPs on the Vjosa.
