Bledi Çuçi has reacted for the first time after the dismissal from the post of Minister of the Interior.
Through a communiqué for the media, Çuçi expresses his thanks to Prime Minister Edi Rama for trusting and supporting him during his duties, as well as wishing success in this post to the new minister, Taulant Balla.
Çuçi says that during his two and a half years as Minister of the Interior he has addressed many challenges related to security and public order, but he does not mention the recent case of violence in Kruja that led to his dismissal.
The full reaction of former minister Çuçi:
I thank Prime Minister Rama for the trust and support he has given me these two and a half years in the difficult task of the Minister of the Interior. It has been a great honor and responsibility for me to exercise this high and very important public function.
From the first day when I took that job until today, I have worked and served with integrity and together with the team of the Ministry of Interior we have addressed many challenges related to security, public order, immigration, civil status and local government.
A special thanks goes to all those who were by my side on this challenging journey.
Good luck to Taulanti in the new challenge, to continue with the transformative reforms in this ministry and especially in the State Police.
