Prime Minister Edi Rama during the press conference with the Serbian President, Aleksandër Vucic in Belgrade, said that "the delay in establishing the association of municipalities with a Serbian majority is a strategic mistake".

The head of the Albanian government admitted once again that he has not consulted the draft for the association that he submitted to Germany and France, neither with Kosovo nor with Serbia, as he demanded that if the elections are held in the north, participation is guaranteed.

"The proposal for the association is a contribution from my side, but I have not consulted with Serbia and Kosovo. It has been handed over to the two godfathers of France and Germany, it is up to the parties to read it or not. Dragging the association of Serbian municipalities is a strategic mistake. The insistence on keeping in empty buildings chairmen who have become an obstacle to the solution is a strategic mistake. When the road to elections opens, participation must be guaranteed ," said Rama.

Regarding the situation in the north of Kosovo, Rama said that the recent tensions are not a joke, while he asked the parties to return to the dialogue.

"The only way is not to increase tensions, but to increase the dialogue on the Franco-German plan agreement. No one should take the tensions in the north of Kosovo as a joke in order not to lead this area into a dangerous situation. The path to reason must be opened and then the path of dialogue must be taken," added the prime minister.

Further, the head of the government talked with Vucic about the Berlin Process and the need for the Balkan countries to have a common position at the summit that will be held in Tirana in October.
