The Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi, has reacted after the publication of the footage of the violence that the tribe of the Socialist Party deputy Rrahman Rraja, exercised against two Mayan brothers in Krujë.
Çuçi says that the images are serious and unacceptable, and that no one should be above the law.
Regarding the news that the police have been reluctant to arrest the brother of the SP deputy, Xelal Rraja, who appears in the video with a pistol in his hand, Çuçi says that "any other insinuation has nothing to do with the truth and the work of the police".
"The scenes of violence in Kruja are serious and unacceptable. No one is above the law and cannot escape responsibility under any circumstances.
The State Police has carried out a detailed inspection of the suspect's residence, arrested 4 people early this morning and is working to catch the 3 others involved in the incident as soon as possible.
Any other insinuation has nothing to do with the truth and with the work of the State Police to bring the perpetrators to justice," writes Minister Çuçi.
The day before, Bilbil Maja and Jashar Maja were barbarically beaten with hard objects by Jelal Rraja, Përparim Rraja and several other people. The quarrel started after the Maja brothers had complained about the mine explosions in the quarry owned by Xelal Rraja, which is causing damage to the houses in the area.
