On Thursday, during a press conference, Sali Berisha denied having requested an American visa to travel to the United States.

He even emphasized that since leaving office in 2013, he had never planned such a trip.

"Do I ask for a visa? No, I have not asked for a visa since I left office as Prime Minister, not once," he said.

But this appears to be untrue. According to documents filed with FARA, the lobbying firm Continental, which signed the $6 million contract with the Democratic Party, has made two requests on behalf of Sali Berisha.

The first on March 28, signed by representatives of several Albanian-American associations, including Nuredin Seci, who is the guarantor of the $6 million for the lobbying contract, requesting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to provide Sali Berisha with a short-term transit visa.

The purpose of this visa: meeting with the Albanian diaspora in the United States during the electoral campaign.

This request, as stated in the document that Top Channel has, was distributed by Continental Strategy, on behalf of the Democratic Party of Albania.

But, after more than a month since this request to provide Sali Berisha with a visa has been ignored by the US Department of State, Continental PLLC, a law firm affiliated with Continental Strategy, which, according to the $6 million contract, has signed another financial agreement with the Democratic Party, sent a second letter, just a few days ago, on May 1.

This letter was also filed with the State Department by Continental Strategy, on behalf of the Democratic Party. It again calls on Secretary of State Marco Rubio to lift sanctions against Sali Berisha.

The letter closes with the lobbyists' plea, who emphasize that the only hope for their client remains a decision by Marco Rubio.

A decision that has not yet been made.

The sanctioning of Sali Berisha continues to be published on the official website of the State Department ( https://2021-2025.state.gov/public-designation-of-albanian-sali-berisha-due-to-involvement-in-significant-corruption/ ) and to date there has been no official communication from American institutions about any step back from President Trump's administration, which in fact, in the case of lifting the sanctions on the Hungarian Prime Minister's chief of staff, expressed itself publicly through a statement.

Also, contrary to what Sali Berisha claims, he has requested not once, but twice to obtain a visa to travel to the United States, but this request has not been taken into account to date.

According to official documents, Sali Berisha continues to be unwelcome and despite having twice requested to travel to America, his requests have so far been rejected./ Tch
