The incident that took place on the evening of November 28 at the Democratic Party Branch in Kurbin, where he was shot with a firearm, has resulted in penalties for the protagonists of the event. Two candidates of the primaries for the Municipality of Kurbin, Alfred Dajçi and Edmond Shkoza, have been excluded from the race on December 4.

The decision was taken by the Commission for the Organization and Control of Electoral Operations in Reestablishment, after examining the facts, photos and testimonies. According to the PD of Reestablishment, the acts of violence are unacceptable and with their actions, the candidates and members of the leadership of this political force have seriously damaged the progress of the election process of the primaries.

Also, the Commission for the Organization and Control of Electoral Operations asks the chairmanship of DP Kurbin to take disciplinary measures by dismissing citizen Van Rica from any function in this party.

The event happened on Monday evening during a meeting of the primary candidates with the presidency, where the 53-year-old Van Rica who supported the candidate Edmond Shkoza had asked for the membership of some sympathizers, but this was opposed by the vice president of the branch of the Democratic Party of Reestablishment Kastriot Marku with the claim that the term of membership had ended.

In the ongoing debate, Van Rica fired a pistol in the corridors of the Democratic Party offices and then left, but fortunately no one was injured. The author of this incident was arrested by the police a few hours later, but after three days the court decided that he should be investigated in a free state.
