Tirana Municipal Council member, doctor Ilir Alimehmeti, gave a speech at the opposition protest, where he accused the government of depopulation of the country.
"You were expelled from your country, by the Rilindja clique with Edi Rama at the head," Alimehmeti began his speech.
While talking about the numbers of Albanians who, according to him, have left the country, Alimehmeti said: "It is a fact that one in 5 Albanians in Albania today is thinking about leaving, due to the policies that Edi Rama and Rilindja are pursuing."
Speaking about the failures and abuses of the government, according to him, Alimehmeti added: "These are not abuses that simply lead to numbers, they are abuses that lead to schools without students, hospitals without doctors and without medicine...".
He added: "Today, no one is slandering you anymore, when you have all the power, you are also responsible for failure. There is no greater historical accusation than when the people leave, when the people leave, they take to the streets of the world. There is no greater public accusation than the depopulation of the country."
Alimehmeti further added: "I remember a place when we had two words, mother and father, today we have one and two parents, I remember a place where we had two genders, and today we have several, I remember a place when we built safe national roads and today the government builds roads and tunnels that collapse within a year."
