The Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation has reacted after the dismissal of the director of the National Theater Altin Basha.

The minister says that Basha's dismissal was done to pave the way for good economic and financial management and increased transparency.

Altin Basha was accused by an investigative show of embezzling National Theater funds.

MEKI's reaction to the dismissal of the director of the National Theater.

Upon the proposal of the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, the Council of Ministers dismissed the General Director of the National Theatre, Altin Basha. Following this dismissal, MEKI will open a selection process for a new director of the National Theatre. The change aims to improve the management level and the quality of economic-financial and administrative management, increase institutional transparency and bring a new spirit of public communication and cooperation towards the artistic and professional community.

Upon the announcement of the decision, MEKI will be led by Mr. Indrit Çobani as interim leader.
