Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that vocational education is often prejudiced by parents, but emphasized that students should be encouraged to follow it, as it offers better employment opportunities.
During the conversation on the "Flasim" podcast, Rama emphasized that professional education is one of the key factors that contributes to the success of many countries, including Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
" Vocational education is the basis of the success of Germany, Switzerland and Austria. But it is an area prejudiced by many parents who think that a kind of lower categorization takes place compared to students who go to general education.
And we don't blame them. Today, students of vocational education are more easily employed, it is a sin that there is not more impetus towards vocational education.
Many people, parents, but also students have the idea that when you go to vocational school, the learning stays there.
But who goes through vocational education, has also acquired information and skills for a trade. Within the university there is also the trade, you can work in the meantime with the trade and earn income.
Not like a student who goes and works as a waiter. It's a trade that requires training, no more just come in, put on the white shirt ," said Rama.
