Sali Berisha declared today that Prime Minister Edi Rama's mandate "has zero legitimacy" and announced the launch of a broad discussion on the opposition's program to resolve the country's main challenges.
During the meeting on infrastructure organized by the Infrastructure Department of the Democratic Party, Berisha emphasized that the country faces deep problems, citing high-level corruption, theft of public funds, rising prices and the poverty situation that affects a significant portion of Albanians.
He accused Prime Minister Rama and some of his officials as protagonists of some of the largest corruption cases in the country and criticized the government's response to investigations and the justice system.
"Good evening and warm greetings to each of you here. Tonight, together, we open the feature of a broad intensive discussion of our program, with which we must give the most complete answer to the major problems that Albania faces today.
Problems created by the highest level of corruption imaginable, from 100% theft of funds such as the Tirana incinerator, to 90% theft of other public works, from the ruin of Albanian families due to the huge increase in prices and almost no increase in salaries and pensions anywhere in relation to prices, which has caused 49% of Albanians to be in poverty or at risk of poverty.
The services in this country have undergone a devastating metamorphosis for the order and quality they should have. So, the problem is very deep. Meanwhile, the mandate, which the head of the criminal organization Edi Rama calls, is the mandate of crime. I am not saying this to give him an epithet, but I am saying this because this mandate has zero legitimacy. So, Edi Rama with the electoral farce does not have a single legitimate day in power.
But, another factor now, which the opposition has denounced every day, but also the media, we must be realistic, another factor has become a factor of fame not only in Albania, but also in the world, is the corruption factor, in which the Prime Minister himself, once by the name of Belinda Balluku, once by the name of Ergys Agasi, is the protagonist of the biggest corrupt affairs. And besides this, his reaction, a typical reaction of a thief who is capable of taking any decision and action to save his skin, was to close the doors to the investigation and the justice system.
"The man who is in a paranoia of ignorance, because he is an ignorant person washed away by concepts, because I guarantee you and the Albanians that there has never been a more ignorant and washed away by concepts official in that position than him. Never! Follow the dictionary, in his dictionary you cannot find a single word of the government that governs. You only find the language of a street urchin, who for the sake of truth with his attitude towards corruption, loses all legitimacy, even if the May 11 elections had been elections of the best world standards," he said.
