Rama meets with Mitsotakis in Athens!

Prime Minister Edi Rama met in Athens with his Greek counterpart, Kyriakos Mitsotakis .

Through a Facebook post , the head of the Albanian government says that he has a special friendship with the head of the Greek government.

Rama describes the path between the two countries as difficult, but one that has had " unwavering " communication and respect, as he says.

The head of government emphasizes that they are working to finally overcome all outstanding issues between the two states, to exit this year with a new strategic partnership agreement.

"With the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, we share a special friendship forged on the common path of ambition to modernize our countries and raise Albanian-Greek relations to a new level. Along this path, not only the best moments, but also the most difficult ones have always been characterized by respectful and open communication, while we are working to finally overcome all outstanding issues between the two states, to emerge from this year with a new strategic partnership agreement," Rama writes.

We recall that Rama is in Greece at the invitation of the Delphi Economic Forum, a high-level international platform, which every year brings together political leaders, business representatives, academics and experts from around the world to discuss key global challenges, promote international dialogue, exchange ideas and contribute to the drafting of policies that promote sustainable development and regional and global cooperation.
