The head of Top Story at TCH, Grida Duma, in an interview given on the "Breaking" show on Top News to journalist Dafina Hysa, has made a detailed analysis of the current political situation in the country.
Starting from the hottest topic, that of electoral reform, Duma emphasizes that Prime Minister Edi Rama and opposition leader Sali Berisha are both on the same trajectory. According to her, they are implementing electoral reform together.
"We need to understand what the approach of the position and the opposition produces. We need to understand what they do for Albanians. What we should follow is us. Before the elections, Berisha proposed 100 deputies, after the elections, Rama says let's go to 101. The game theory of going in many ways to the same result. They change the variable and having said that, what surprises us at these moments is that both sides want the same thing, reducing the number of deputies.
Rama's concern in his fourth term should be nothing else but to have to do with reality, not reducing the number of MPs to increase the number of directors.
Berisha's concern should not be the numbers, but the way these deputies are elected. The two leaders are calling for a reduction in the number of field deputies.
"There are two changes related to the way the political terrain is laid. New subjects depend on the media and inspiring the public through communication ," Duma said.
Regarding the role that the international factor should play in electoral reform, Duma responded that:
"OSCE-ODIHR does not change anything in the executive and legislative. The US Embassy and the British Embassy have had a role in the SP-DP relationship. Today there is a decline in interest in the Balkans.
"As for the moment, the US is focused on the war in Iran and has no interest in intervening in Albania. We must get rid of the illusions that they will come and create the solution. The solution and the obstacle is within our parties. In this sense, the internationals are a minor factor."
Regarding the political configuration in 2029, Grida Duma made a prediction.
"What I predict is that with this numbness that Rama and Berisha have brought to the country, the majority will tend to go to the SP parties, and Rama himself says that we are not the best, but there is no one better than us. Meanwhile, the DP says that we do not win because there are no elections with Rama. Their axiom is that we enter the elections, but there are no elections.
The concern would be the international platform of the DP. If the opposition hopes that those who fled are unhappy, it must resolve the vote deadlock, how to implement electronic voting in record time, etc.
But how has the DP calculated how long it will remain in opposition?
"I asked Berisha if the DP will have the same biological age as the opposition leader. I cannot tell Berisha how to build a party, we cannot give him this lecture. There is another problem in the entire opposition camp, there is a lack of agreement between the small opposition parties. I have no doubt that in the DP there are people with values ??and contributions who can do more, just like in the SP where Rama does not need his deputies because he does everything himself. The two leaders of the main political forces have ended the game themselves", analyzed Duma in her response.
