Rama shares the map of the "Mountains Package": 787 applications in 5 days

Prime Minister Edi Rama published this Wednesday a map showing the distribution of applications for the "Mountain Package", an initiative aimed at developing mountainous areas in the country.

Through a Facebook post, the head of government announced that in just five days, 787 applications have been registered from farmers and residents of highland areas, who seek to benefit from support to develop guesthouses, agritourism, mountain hotels, farms or agro-processing lines.

"This is an inspiring map of applications for the Mountain Package, where in just 5 days 787 applicants are counted. All immigrants, especially, but also those who live in Albania and want to reopen the door of their ancestral home in the mountains, are invited to apply and build with permission, benefiting from government support and the soft credit line of the Bank of Albania," Rama writes.

The "Mountain Package" initiative through the "Invest in Your Land" project aims to offer a realistic approach to attracting investments in the country's mountainous areas, thanks to new investor support policies.

The package aims to create a balance in the sustainable development of economic activities of mountain tourism, agriculture, industry and innovation related to the ecosystem of these areas, based on the protection of the natural landscape, the preservation of cultural heritage, culture and local identity in these areas declared as priorities for the development of the mountain economy.
