Rama demands resignation from the mayor of Kukes, the reason is revealed

Prime Minister Edi Rama has requested the resignation of Albert Halilaj, the mayor of Kukes.

It is learned that Halilaj will be on the list of candidates for deputies of the Socialist Party in the parliamentary elections of May 11.

The decision comes just a few hours after Rama held a meeting with the Socialist Party's political leaders in the regions, while it is said that the list of Socialist candidates for MPs has almost taken full shape.

Halilaj took over the leadership of the Municipality of Kukës two years ago, on September 24, 2023.
