Immediately after Socialist leader Edi Rama asked the losing candidates on the open lists to "not lose face" by requesting the CEC to provide video footage of the vote counting, one of the "protagonists" also reacted.
MP Xhemal Qefalia, who was one of the candidates who requested footage of the vote counting from the CEC, has "listened" to Rama's advice, while thanking voters for their votes.
There is also a "heartfelt" thank you to Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"I feel excited when 9,950 votes from the citizens of the Tirana district are recorded next to my name.
I am deeply grateful for every person who has stood by me, for every support, for every message, for every hand that reached out to me along this path.
A special and heartfelt thank you goes to Prime Minister Edi Rama, for the opportunity and trust he gave me to be part of the Socialist Party's competitive list. This is a responsibility and an honor that will not be forgotten.
"Regardless of the result, I feel heartbroken by the love and trust I have received from you ," Qefalia wrote on social media.
Qefalia leaves Parliament after two terms as an MP.
