The next day starts the new school season, which this year will come with some innovations. The children of the first grades, who will sit for the first time in the school benches, will hold in their hands the new primer unified with Kosovo. But not only that, the students of the first grades will start the subject of Technology, Information and Communication.

This school year, for the first time, there will be a secondary school for the students of the Institute of Children who do not Listen, in the field of learning Technology and ICT. Students who finish the ninth grade in this institute will no longer stay at home, but will have the opportunity to continue their studies and gain a profession,

Two 10th grade classes have been opened in the Institute of Deaf Children and about 25 students are enrolled. The building that will serve as a secondary school will be the same (so the current one in the "Madrasa" area in Tirana.) The students will be from Tirana and the surrounding areas. Students from the districts will be accommodated near the school dormitories. 10 rooms for boys and 10 for girls (for high school students) are ready.

The Minister of Education, Evis Kushi, has published a video message wishing all students a happy and successful school year.

"A warm greeting to all of you teachers, students and parents. This school year comes with many projects and initiatives for an equal and comprehensive quality education. I wish you all a good and successful school year", says Kushi.
In this congratulatory video, some of the innovations of this school year are included, such as the increase in the number of psycho-social workers, assistant teachers, security officers, the special sports program for students with different abilities.

"Another 235 colleagues are added to the psycho-social service in schools, expanding the service more than the quality", says psychologist Olta Jacellari.

"This new school year will find us even closer to children with different abilities. This year we will have 250 more assistant teachers", says assistant teacher Amaeda Alushji

"75 more security officers. This year we will be not only in high schools, but also in 9-year schools where there is a high number of students", said Denalda Liçaj, security officer.

"This year we are introducing the subject of Technology and Information and Communication for the first grades. The establishment of laboratories in 100 schools motivates us more", says Brikena Rapi, ICT teacher.  
Meanwhile, this school year, several schools will be opened in the country, rebuilt after the earthquake. In the capital alone, 12 new schools will be opened, new ones designed by the well-known architect, Stefano Boeri, among them the 9-year-old 'Andrea Stefani', which was inaugurated the day before by Prime Minister Edi Rama and Mayor Erion Veliaj. This school will host about 1 thousand students of Unit 11.

Also, the 'Sami Frashëri' gymnasium, which underwent reconstruction, will also open its doors. The school will have 49 classes with a capacity for 1500 students. The underground floor of the school is the location of the laboratories. On the upper floors are classrooms and other environments designed according to the most contemporary standards.
