Former President Ilir Meta declared today that he is not interested in congratulations from internationals, ambassadors in Tirana or other partners abroad for ending his mandate and returning to the party he founded and now changed its name.

"I have no concern whether or not there are reactions, the only disturbing reaction for me is when the justice reform partisans do not react to these affairs that are destroying public finances, which I have made known to everyone.

I'am happy. I do not expect to receive any votes from our friends, neither have I asked nor do I want to. Every obligation of Albania as a member of NATO will be fulfilled in an excellent way by the party of Liberty. There are others who make stories, make nonsense and want to make politics by speculating with our friends," he said.

Ilir Meta as President of the Republic did not hold any official meeting with his counterparts, being the most isolated president in Europe.

During his term, he severely attacked the accredited ambassadors in Tirana, where the clash with the American diplomat Yuri Kim reached scandalous levels of communication.
