The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, said today that last week we heard a shocking statement from the Minister of the Interior, where he said that there is no development without crime.

He said that instead of compensating the friends of the secret tenders, the government should have dedicated funds to help families befriending children.

Meta denounced what he called corruption towards children and parents, the case when 900 children will not be able to attend classes normally tomorrow at Ibrahim Bashes school, due to the negligence of the government.

"Last week we heard a shocking statement from the Minister of the Interior stating that without crime there is no development, an unacceptable statement from the representative of the government, which has the duty to fight crime and help development. It must be said emphatically that without education there is no development, only a quality education, with schools and curricula, with motivated teachers and motivational salaries brings it.

The government, instead of compensating the friends of the secret tenders, should have dedicated funds to help families befriend children. That's why I'm here today, like this morning the Freedom Party MPs, to denounce a concrete situation of irresponsibility and corruption towards children and parents, the case when 90 children will not be able to attend classes normally tomorrow at the Ibrahim Bashes school, for due to government negligence. Matters that we will pursue in the Assembly and we will be in support of education, our fight in all aspects will give education the priority it deserves", said Meta.
