The deputy of the Democratic Party, Tritan Shehu, has recently reacted to monkeypox, referring to WHO findings that gay and bisexual men are the main source of the spread of this infection, so he calls on the health system to take measures for this thing.
He calls on the government and relevant authorities to inform public opinion through data and real facts so that everyone knows how to protect themselves from this new infection, for which the world has raised the "red alarm". Tritan Shehu does not hesitate to attack the Rama government for the way it managed the situation regarding Covid-19, noting that "we continue to pay very dearly for that abnormal "campaign" that this Government carried out against Covid".
Tritan Shehu's post:
Our health system must warn the public: gay and bisexual men are the main source of spread of monkey pox!
This is an official statement so far not only from different governments, but also from the WHO, which is being articulated almost every day specifically to take preventive measures.
Such attention does not affect the "human rights" of any community, not even that of homosexuals, on the contrary, it protects them and society as a whole from a possible infection.
This is a task of every health system, including ours, which must be done without complications, without pressure, it is part of the necessary preventive transparency.
According to the WHO, 99% of those affected by this virus are men and at least 95% of these patients are men who have sex with other men.
I do not understand why our Ministry of Health, the working group created to combat this infection, to which the WHO has now turned on the "red light", does not say a word about this important finding.
Just as the WHO is also acting, our relevant health organizations should make these data public, accompanying them with special advice to minimize the spread of that infection as well as protection against it.
Protecting citizens' health is a very wide and complex "field", part of which is transparent, direct, explanatory communication with them.
This should be dialogic-clarifying, realistic, uncomplicated, without taboos and with professionalism not influenced by primitive censorial interference, without hiding the findings, as well as without dangerous extreme excesses.
We paid and we continue to pay very dearly for that abnormal "campaign" that this Government carried out against Covid....
