Ahmetaj leaves the post of Deputy Prime Minister without the Parliament
ASSEMBLY

The Parliament of Albania is holding an extraordinary session today to enact changes in the Government where Prime Minister Edi Rama dismissed Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, who was also Minister of State for Reconstruction. The post of Deputy Prime Minister was entrusted to the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku.

Anyway, there will no longer be a Minister of State for Reconstruction, but a Minister of State next to the Prime Minister, where Majlinda Dhuka has been appointed.

But, at the beginning of the session, it was noticed that Arben Ahmetaj, even before his dismissal was decreed by the Assembly, went directly to the hall and sat not on the Prime Minister's right hand, in the Deputy Prime Minister's chair.

It was rumored for months that Edi Rama had cut Arben Ahmetaj's departure ticket and it was suspected that Ilir Meta could be an obstacle to this, as the President might not decree this departure. This doubt is reinforced by the fact that directly on the first day of work of the new President, Edi Rama takes them to sign Ahmetaj's resignation from the post.
