Parliament in marathon session, here are the draft laws that were voted on

Even though the opposition requested the entire day for interpellations, Prime Minister Rama arrived only after midnight for the voting process in the marathon session of the Parliament.

The normative act on the oil excise tax was approved with 85 votes in favor and 25 against. The Socialists' votes defeated the Democrats' proposals to reduce the price of oil.

The DP demanded through draft laws the reduction of the turnover tax, the reduction of the excise tax on oil, and the zeroing of the gas excise tax for the "Made in Albania" manufacturing industry.

Rama left without voting on the draft decision "On the approval of the structure, organizational structure and categorization of job positions of the Regulatory Entity of the Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment Sector (ERRU)", which was approved with 84 votes in favor, 24 votes against and 0 abstentions.

-Normative act no. 1, dated 3.4.2026, “On an addition to law no. 61/2012, “On excise duties in the Republic of Albania,” as amended”.

- Draft law “On the ratification of amending agreement no. 2, by exchange of letters, of the financing agreement, between the Republic of Albania, represented by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania, Montenegro and the European Commission, for the IPA cross-border cooperation program Montenegro - Albania 2021 - 2027, ratified by law no. 9/2024”.

- Draft law "On some additions and amendments to law no. 113/2020, "On citizenship", as amended".

-Draft law “On some amendments to law no. 99/2024, “On inspection in the Republic of Albania””.

- Draft decision "On the election of the Commissioner of the Office of the Ombudsman" - Secretary of the national mechanism for the prevention of torture elected Ahmet Prenç with 84 votes in favor and 22 against.

- Draft decision "On the election of the Commissioner of the Office of the People's Advocate" - Secretary for the protection and promotion of children's rights", where Alma Faskaj was elected with 82 votes in favor, 26 against, 1 abstention

- The draft decision "On the election of the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination" approved the selection of Genta Tafa with 83 votes in favor, 25 against, 0 abstentions

- Draft decision "On the election of the Inspector General of the Bank of Albania" where Merita Bejtja was elected with 84 votes in favor, 23 against, 1 abstention

- Draft decision "On the election of the member of the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania" where Matilda Shehu was elected with 104 votes against, 1 in favor, 2 abstentions

- Draft decision "On the approval of the list of statutory auditors who will audit the financial accounts for the years 2024-2025 of the Supreme State Audit Office" where Edlira Buzani and Rajmonda Reveli were elected with 105 votes in favor, 0 against.

The plenary session concluded its proceedings at around 00:35.
