The Chairman of the District Council of Tirana, Aldrin Dalipi, at the same time a member of the municipal council of Tirana, spoke today about some of the projects of the mayor Erion Veliaj in the mandate that we are leaving behind.
Invited to Top News, Dalipi stated that an extraordinary job has been done with the investments in nurseries, kindergartens and schools, increasing the demand of parents who want to take their children to public educational institutions.
He said that the investments foreseen for the future will be the creation of new centers in the capital. Dalipi stopped at some of the projects where the next mandate will be focused, such as Teatri i Ri.
"A job has been done to be appreciated by the Municipality of Tirana, Mayor Veliaj for the investments in kindergartens, schools and nurseries. By causing the demand of parents to register their children to increase. What we noticed and what will happen in the future that investments will be in the creation of some new centers of Tirana. This is a plan and these plans are based on making some significant investments.
The national theater will be a tremendous investment. The artist community has supported him. We cannot keep the Tirana of the last century. We have the pyramid which will be the largest center in the region. Going in this direction will make Tirana very attractive", declared Dalipi.
He commented on the developments brought to the capital by the activities within the "European Youth Capital", causing the number of tourists to increase. Dalipi also spoke about the plan for 2023 when Tirana will be the "European City of Sports".
"The title "European Youth Capital" gave Tirana an extraordinary energy. What we need to understand is that the increase in the number of tourists affects the growth of Tirana's economy. Tirana is the capital of Albania and our entire region.
We said it is an emerging capital, an emerging European hub. Tirana has not fallen asleep. We will have many sports events and many tourists who will come to Albania and it will turn into a sports center for young people and all ages. Even the Albanian government has invested in this direction, but what Tirana will do in this direction will be extraordinary. We never say it's over here. Mayor Veliaj is very clear about this and has shown energy and vision", he declared.
