Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke tonight about the debates that took place in today's parliamentary session where the opposition blocked the Assembly. He said in the show "Opinion" that the minority deputies are hindering the work of the majority in the Assembly, adding that politically the Democratic Party, as the largest opposition party in the country, is divided. He has also responded to the accusation that 'the prime minister has created an international halo and does not care what happens in Albania'.
The situation in the Parliament today was very serious, until 16:00 the PD parliamentary group was closed, in the dark, the lights were removed. Stuck because you turned back the request to replace, one of the reasons, the co-chairman of the Electoral Reform Commission.
Edi Rama: Believe it or not, I did not follow this development today in the Parliament at all, before I came I read a little and read that today the Parliament was blocked and it was impossible for the majority MPs to take their seats in the hall. I read this and have no more information.
But your duty as prime minister is to know what is happening in Albania, what is happening with the opposition.
Edi Rama: Knowing what happens in Albania is one thing, and knowing what happens in another world that is far away from Albania is another thing, however, I also received this information from the other world before I came here. I don't have details because the Parliament is managed by others, starting with the president, the vice president, and I have complete faith in them and believe that they have done the right thing.
There are people who say that recently you have created an international halo and you don't care what happens in Albania, but you are the prime minister of Albania.
Edi Rama : First, everything I do on the international level, I do as Prime Minister and for Albania, is an added value not just politically as a new destination in the attention of others, not only for tourism, but also other aspects .
My direct question is, will the SP give the co-chairman of the Electoral Reform Commission to the DP? The majority?
Edi Rama : I am very informed about what happens in Albania, I start the day in the morning with a situation report, which is produced by a special office where the dynamics of political parties are not included, but all the others are there. What happens in Albania is in focus in every detail, what happens in another world that has nothing to do with the Albania I deal with.
What is this other world?
Edi Rama: It is the world I was just talking about. Unfortunately, it should represent the votes, but it does not. It represents a soup of interests, they embody those interests, I don't know who PD is today, said the two, but it seems to me that...
The DP that has the majority represents the majority, you cannot make a new party.
Edi Rama: I'm talking politically, there are more than two pieces and there are more than 7 pieces. I am in my office, I have so many burdens related to real problems and everyday work, that this is a problem far outside my everyday sphere.
Who represents 820 thousand votes against you?
Edi Rama: The representatives of these hundreds of thousands of people, because they are not that many, it is their duty, I represent them as prime minister, because I belong to all of them together, they are of interest to me as citizens and family members. They should decide who represents them in that hall.
