Two public figures with access to confidential state information, one on the show "Arena" and the other on the show "Five Questions from Babaramo" on News 24, stated that some ministers in the Albanian governments of the last 20 years have been State Security agents or of the secret services of neighboring countries.

In 2012, the former chief inspector of the Prime Minister's Office for the SHISH stated in "Arena" that 4 foreign ministers of the last 20 years have been companions-interpreters of the State Security. (The term escort-interpreter was then a euphemism for the security agents who accompanied the few foreigners who visited Albania.)

Ironically, the same official was Meta's adviser when the latter was prime minister. Meta has recently been declared by the Dossier Authority as a former employee of Sigurimi.

The official in question, who passed away a few months ago, did not give names or details that could even identify these four ministers.

That same year, the vice-president of KLD declared in " Five Questions from Babaramo " that in the current government and in the previous governments of these 20 years, some ministers have been agents of the secret services of neighboring countries.

Neither did he give names or details that could even identify these ministers-former agents. In the 10 years that followed, no more statements of this type were made./ Day
