Ervin Salianji reacted from the IEPV Fier phone booth to the incident with Agron Gjekmarkaj at the protest, where like his colleagues, the former Democratic MP accuses the police of violence.
Salianji wished Gjekmarkaj a speedy recovery, while stating that " leaving a lecturer, literary critic and deputy speaker of the Assembly unconscious is hypocrisy of a level as high as government corruption and connections to crime."
Among other things, it states that " May 11 is coming and it is the day when Albanians will part with this evil."
Salijanj's full reaction:
I wish a speedy recovery to my friend and colleague Agron Gjekmarkaj. Edi Rama is violent and those he hates the most are intellectuals before whom the shallowness of his knowledge is evident.
To brag shamelessly about being a student of Noli and Konica and to hit peaceful protesters, to drive police officers into the opposition with a baton, and to knock a teacher, literary critic, and deputy speaker of the parliament unconscious is hypocrisy of a level as high as government corruption and connections to crime.
These are the struggles of a desperate man who, beyond power, has nothing else. Edi Rama is one of the country's greatest failures in these decades of freedom.
Like a big bully, he seeks to be held back by acts of violence through military ranks, from which he thinks he gets doses of bravery.
It's the end of it, dear Agron!
He thinks that by imprisoning his opponents, raping them, persecuting them, he will increase his longevity in office. But in fact, he is doing the opposite.
May 11 is coming and it is the day when Albanians will part with this evil.
