DP MP, Albana Vokshi, has reacted to the request that GJJKO made today to toughen the charges against former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj.

Vokshi said that this decision by the GJKKO comes thanks to the DP's resistance to establishing an Investigative Commission for the sterilization affair for which Beqaj is accused.

The Democrat said that even though the Investigative Committee was continuously blocked by the Majority, the opposition managed to uncover a genuine criminal scheme in the theft of public money.

Dear citizens!

The Special Structure investigated the corruption scandal of sterilization for 4 consecutive years, and attempted to cover up the flagrant facts that made Ilir Beqaj, Ogerta Manastirliu, the Minister of Finance and Edi Rama himself guilty. For this affair, the Democratic Party requested the establishment of an investigative commission.

Although it was continuously blocked by the Majority, even through the appointed deputy speaker, a person accused of abuse of office, Plarent Ndreca, the opposition managed to uncover a genuine criminal scheme to steal public money.

What we did in 4-5 months, SPAK did not do for more than 4 years.

The investigative commission found out how Ilir Beqaj, in collaboration with Klodian Rrjepaj, Ilir Rrapaj, and Umbro Stachini, had falsified the documentation to benefit from this concession contract. All this with the blessing of Edi Rama.

The investigative committee did what SPAK did not do in its investigation, followed the money and discovered an entire network of companies set up by these individuals, companies that have disappeared not a little but about 50,000,000 euros.

The investigative commission has also uncovered Klodian Rrjepaj's corrupt connection with the Alba Light company, a connection that was hidden by SPAK.

The investigative commission has discovered and verified the companies created by Ilir Rapaj, in his name, his relatives and friends, and how and where tens of millions of EUROs have moved.
Today, the GJKKO, after uncovering this scheme by this Commission, has decided to increase the charges against these citizens, now calling them A STRUCTURED CRIMINAL GROUP.

The GJKKO has also requested the investigation of the Italian citizen Umbro Stachini who, together with Elisabeta Anzanelo, REFUSED several times to appear to testify before the Investigative Committee.
The Democratic Party, and I personally, will publish the full report of the opposition deputies in the coming days.

The Investigative Commission will file a new criminal report for the entire network of companies created by this criminal organization, and we will request the seizure of all assets of these individuals, not only in Albania but also in Italy.

After 12 years in power of the Renaissance and the slogan "Free Health", today Albanians are not only being robbed, but also being killed at the doors of hospitals due to the lack of service and medicines.

So today is the day for all of us to protest, including for the constitutional right to quality healthcare.
