Opposition leader Sali Berisha presented the candidates of his "Greater Albania" alliance in Kashar.
Speaking about the Albanian family and the important weight it holds in the Democratic Party's program, Berisha said that Rama's campaign is vulgar, as according to him he wants to diminish the roles of family members.
He said that the Albanian family does not need to hear "that the husband is like this or that", but needs economic support for the pensioners they may have at home, the education of their children and so that the latter do not leave Albania.
"We are a party of the best traditions, conservative parties are not ideological parties, but are parties of the fundamental values of humanity. In this context, in our nation, the foundation of all foundations is the family. Therefore, we come before you with a project with which we pledge that the Albanian family will be at the epicenter of our effort to support it. A strong nation can only be when it has a strong family. The family is strong when it has strong morals. I am not a moral judge, but some values are common. I believe that respect is mutual, man to woman, woman to man, respect of family members to each other, are the highest values. I have high confidence that no woman accepts and would not want her son, husband, parent to be insulted. So, this vulgar campaign of Edi Rama that seeks to devalue the family and its values, has a purpose. It not only shows the concepts he has about the family, but it aims to shift your attention from the real problems of the Albanian family. Of the problems that the Albanian family asks political parties to solve. The Albanian family does not need to hear that the husband is like this or that, it needs to be supported economically, for the pensioner who has to receive the 200 euro minimum. There is a need for the daughter and son not to take the dirt roads, because the table can no longer support them. But instead, they need to be educated, employed, helped with housing, to build their youthful dream in their country. We will do everything for the education of your children , "said Berisha.
Focusing on education and employment, Berisha promised that if he comes to government, the state will pay the insurance for every young person who gets a job, thus facilitating businesses.
"After studies, every young man or woman will be supported for employment. The government will pay insurance for one year for every young man or woman who is employed ," said Berisha.
A strong promise comes for housing, especially for young couples. The chief democrat said that any family with 3 children will have their loan fully paid by the government.
"A roof for a couple means that the government will cover the entire interest on the loan for buying a house for young people with a grant of 30 thousand euros. Those who will have 3 children will have the loan paid in full by the government", said Berisha.
