In a press conference, Sali Berisha reacted to the arrest of SHISH director Vlora Hyseni, stating that she has "violated her oath and the law", an act that, according to the leading democrat, has no lower level of treason.

"In history, you have read, you have heard that the heads of services have worked in violation of the laws for dictators, for other agencies, but this is the first time you hear that the head of the service in a country was in function and support of crime. Today, the prosecution has issued an arrest warrant for Vlora Hyseni, the head of the national intelligence service, as an accomplice in crime, as someone who has violated the oath, the law and given the secrets of the service to criminals. There is no lower level of betrayal of duty, of the law than this.

Further, Berisha mentions several cases where he has denounced Hysen since 2024, stating that she had ordered the directorates not to forward any information without first sending it to Rama.

"Edi Rama never had the right to block legal communication, dictated by law, between institutions in the fight against crime. This information should have been automatically passed by the intelligence service to the State Police, in another case to SPAK, in another case to the Tirana Prosecution Office and so on. It has nothing to do with the person of the prime minister and the prime minister has no right to block this communication in the interest of national security," said Berisha.

He calls her an associate of Ergys Agas, while the intelligence service has shown itself to be "closed" towards the director of the institution.

"Vlora Hyseni was a shameful collaborator of Ergys Agas and other gangs. But one thing Albanians should know, the intelligence service, which for the sake of truth is paid and has the duty to supervise the suspicious activities of anyone, in the case of its director, was completely blindsided. Completely blindsided!", says Berisha.

He further added that he has denounced the collaboration between the head of intelligence and the businessman, stating that it was the latter who controlled SHISH. He demands the arrest of Rama and Hysen.

"Edi Rama, who had complete information, but who had intentionally handed over the intelligence service to crime, to gangs, is de facto today the most illegal man in Albania. The arrest warrant for Edi Rama is the warrant that Albanians should expect as soon as possible. As for Vlora Hyseni, who is said to be serving abroad, if she is in the company of Edi Rama, I call on the FBI and the US police to arrest her not only as an ordinary criminal, a member of one of the most dangerous criminal organizations in Europe, but also to arrest her as a person who, with her group, as a member of the group, has constituted a real threat to the North Atlantic Alliance", said Berisha.
