Eglantina Gjermeni leaves, Rama ready to appoint Uran Ferizi to the OSCE

Uran Ferizi is expected to be appointed head of the OSCE Permanent Mission.

Ferizi is currently Albania's ambassador to the United Kingdom.

After taking up his new position, he will replace Eglantina Gjermeni in this position.

He is expected to have a hearing in the Foreign Affairs Committee tomorrow.

Uran Ferizi was appointed as ambassador to London in early 2024.

His mandate in the United Kingdom was characterized by media attention regarding his public statements on issues of the Albanian community there.

The new name that will replace it in London now remains to be determined.
