Berisha's lawyer reveals why the former prime minister appeared before SPAK and did not reject the GJKKO measure

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha's lawyer, Genc Gjokutaj, invited this evening to the Top Story show on Top Channel, stated that the decision of the Appeals Court of Kosovo to issue the measure 'compulsory appearance' is a farce.

He said that all measures against Berisha had been lifted, while according to him this measure was staged.

He added that they have chosen to appear as required, twice a month, before the judicial police officer, after the case was taken by them to Strasbourg.

"A decision based on stupidity, we decided not to respond with the same language anymore, the Berisha case has been assigned priority in Strasbourg, so the presentation today was worth it because today we found a record of stupidity."

You know the decisions of the Court that removed every measure, and also the place of the Constitutional Court. This direction is clear in its essence. Where does the stupidity lie? Berisha had no measure and was imposed an 'obligation to appear', this decision makes no sense, it is propaganda. Appearance is everything, substance is nothing. We hit the political opponent, this has happened in every dictatorship" , he said.

We recall that Sali Berisha appeared today at the SPAK premises, implementing the decision of the Appeals Court of the Criminal Court that imposed the measure of mandatory appearance on the first and third Monday of each month. The leader of the DP stayed for a few minutes inside the law enforcement institution and on the way out spoke to the media, directly attacking the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani.
