Monika Kryemadhi 's mother , Fatime Kryemadhi, appeared today at SPAK.

After leaving SPAK, Fatime Kryemadhi spoke to reporters, where she said that she is a person under investigation for her apartment.

She said that SPAK, instead of dealing with people who sell state land, deals with an 80-year-old woman who has a house like everyone else.

Fatime Kryemadhi: I am being investigated because I am an untouchable person, because untouchable persons are being investigated. What explanations should I give that I have my own house? I am 80 years old, do I not have the right to buy a house? You do not have a house? They do not deal with those who sell pieces of the people's state, and they deal with me, an old woman. What statement should I give?

We recall that on December 17 of last year, the Appeal Court of Kosovo partially overturned the decision of the Kosovo Appeal Court, lifting the seizure of the villa of Monika Kryemadhi's mother, Fatime Kryemadhi.

Meanwhile, the Appeal Court of Kosovo left the villa of the PL MP, Monika Kryemadhi, under seizure.

On October 20, 2024, the Special Prosecution Office, SPAK, announced the seizure of two real estate properties owned by Monika Kryemadhi and her mother, Fatime Kryemadhi, in the place known as "Kodra e Diellit" in Tirana.

According to SPAK, this measure came as a follow-up to investigations initiated in 2022 against the leader of the Freedom Party and former President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, and his ex-wife, Monika Kryemadhi.

Based on the request of SPAK, the Special Court of First Instance imposed the measure of “preventive sequestration” for two properties owned by Monika Kryemadhi and her mother, Fatime Kryemadhi. Specifically, two villas with the same surface area were seized, with ground floors of 152 m2, of which 82 m2 of living space and 70 m2 of veranda; the first floors are 79 m2 each; the second floors with a surface area of ??51 m2 and a veranda of 27.9 m2 and the underground floors with 139 m2 each.

Former President Ilir Meta, currently the leader of the opposition Freedom Party, is accused by the Special Prosecution Office of three corruption cases; for the file known as CZ-DIA, for obtaining monetary values ??in exchange for influence exercised in favor of a telecommunications company, as well as for the suspected corrupt relationship with businessman Samir Mane, for taking over the amendment in his favor of a law in the Albanian Parliament.

Meta is also accused of consulting and lobbying contracts in the United States of America, laundering the proceeds of crime in the purchase of a house in Tirana, and failing to declare medical expenses for the period 2013-2019.

He was arrested based on the results of these investigations and is in custody. Meta has denied the charges and has requested the revocation of the security measure in court.
SPAK has also filed similar charges against MP Monika

Kryemadhi, both Meta's wife and collaborator for decades, who are now in the process of divorcing. Kryemadhi is being investigated at large.

Former AKEP leader Pirro Xhixho is under investigation for passive corruption. Ema Çoku, a financier of the SMI, is also being investigated for money laundering under the same security measure.
