Chief socialist Edi Rama has today convened the National Assembly of the Socialist Party in Gjirin e Lalëzi in Durrës within the framework of the process of re-organizing the structures and revitalizing the pink headquarters. Rama said that 29 thousand 225 new memberships were registered in the party.

I want to congratulate them for their active involvement in the renewal of our party, in this process of re-energization, which has affected every socialist organization. I want to congratulate Secretary Blendi Klosi for the innovation of the engineering of this process. Today, a total of 29 thousand, 225 new memberships are counted in the digital register of socialist membership. We want 50 thousand new members by June this year.

In other words, 20,000 or so are added to those that have been added so far. You have noticed how easily the objectives were exceeded, since we waited for people to come to us, but we went to them. We will review the composition of every socialist organization. Men and women of all ages, the more represented the area is, the stronger will be the connection of the SP with that area.' - said Rama.

The focus will be on the implementation of the tasks left earlier for the party structures, as well as the correction of the problems and deficiencies identified in the socialist organizations and new memberships. This part of the work will be directed by the general secretary Blendi Klosi, while afterwards there will be reports from the members of the Assembly on the work done.

The work agenda also provides for the approval of two draft instructions on "general elections in the party" and "selection criteria for candidates for party congress delegates".

The process of revitalizing the party takes place only a few months before the official start of work for the 2025 parliamentary elections.
