Albin Kurti talks about relations with Albania: I expect more support, but the successes we have had with Tirana are great

In an interview on Top Story opposite Grida Duma, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti spoke at length about his 4-year mandate and other issues.

During the interview, he also spoke about the relationship between our two countries, and the successful cooperation we have had. He said that there will also be cooperation in the field of defense, adding that we should have a generation without war.

"We have made 58 agreements with the government of Albania, there has never been a higher level of implementation. 22 years after the liberation of Kosovo, children have learned with two different primers and now they only have one primer with us."

The main trading partner with our government is Albania, with those before us it was Serbia. We have opened 26 new crossings. We are also doing 2 international sports organizations together. We are doing the Albanian Encyclopedia together, we are financing with scholarships Albania students of Kosovo, and we students of Albania.

We may have some disagreements, I expect greater support from Albania than what I have, I believe it is also Albania's obligation, but on the other hand, the successes we have had are undeniable.

We have customs offices in both Porto Romano and Durrës, we will build a Pristina-Durres railway, I believe that there will also be a Gjakova-Shkodra segment, and we will also have cooperation in the field of defense because we are two states, but one nation.

May future generations never again fear aggression from neighboring countries. The last century began with the Balkan wars, horror!

We need to have a generation that grows old without war. For this we need a strong army. It is very good that Albania is in NATO, that negotiations for EU membership have been opened. We rejoice in every success of Albania. But Albania must also have a stance on Kosovo, like Kosovo that has it for itself, and here I think there is more room for improvement, advancement ," he said.
