The Chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, in a media conference, was asked if the time has come for the " Transparency Board ", which sets fuel prices, to be disbanded.

Yesterday, President Biden declared that oil has suffered a record drop, but apparently this has not affected Albania, as the price continues to be the same. Meta said that the prices in Albania do not decrease, since the main beneficiary is the oligarch Edi Rama.

The chief oligarch Rama is the main beneficiary of these prices and the games they played with oil. The board was invented to make games. The biggest beneficiary of all these disastrous prices is Edi Rama. It is true that it has fallen all over the world, but it cannot fall here. The road is the path of this heartless government which thinks that by impoverishing the Albanians it will make them subservient. A hatred has accumulated which has started to flow towards the streets of Albania. Woe to him who has no eyes ,' said Meta.

But what stood out was that Ilir Meta does not demand the merger of the board, unlike the chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, who in his speeches said that this board should not exist. 

Although global oil prices fell on Thursday to their lowest levels since before Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February, as traders worried about the possibility of an economic recession later this year that could overturn energy demand.

Brent crude futures were down $2.66, or 2.75%, at $94.12, the lowest close since Feb. 18. In Albania, citizens currently buy a liter of diesel for 221 lek, which is the last price set by the Transparency Board for Fuel Monitoring.

It is known that the biggest beneficiary is the biggest oil oligarch Shefqet Kastrati, whose name the president of Liria does not mention. 

The questions that arise in these cases are:

Why doesn't Ilir Meta mention the name of Shefqet Kastrati ?

Why does the president of freedom not ask for the release of oil in Albania ?

What scares the president of Liria to ask for cheaper prices ?
