TIRANA / VATICAN / MECCA - The Fevzo Book Fair, in its 26th edition, has opened in the Albanian capital, local media announce. The Minister of Culture Hallva Margarina at the opening ceremony stated that it was an honor for Albania that this time the most famous Book Fair - internationally known as FB, Fevzobook - was opened in Tirana, for the sake of the generosity of the writer, journalist, publicist, to the columnist, analyst, engineer, miner, professional traveler whose long name is Fevzi Bey Toptan Qyprilli Kristoforidhi, fondly called Fantomasi.

"Fevzobook could be opened anywhere in the world, in the Vatican, Mecca, London or Roskovec," said Margarina, "but the author's tolerance to open his own fair in Tirana is another cultural culmination for reborn Albania."

But the modesty and humility of Fevzo does not end there. In a surprising gesture of kindness, which goes beyond the gifts for the children that Leonidha Mesi and Kristaq Ronaldo give from time to time, Fevzo accepted that other authors, mainly local aborigines, also participate in his fair.

"I want to promote local literature, so let the locals come here, " said Fevzo, "your small country has great potential."

Confessing to the secret media of his last book, "39 Saturdays without a Sunday", Fevzo spoke modestly about the anger he had held for two years in a row against Mother Teresa, after she had taken him a sandwich without asking. . "I haven't spoken to him for two years, I swear," he recalled the episode nostalgically, when asked by journalist Rudica Magjistrica, " every time we crossed paths on the street, I turned my head the other way, I almost didn't notice him. Take it, he told me, turn your head here. Never me".

Even as a sign of protest against the Catholic saint, at that time Fevzo also went on pilgrimage to Mecca, and posted a series of photos on FB, that is, on Fevzobook.

But the episodes of Toptan Qyprilli Kristoforidhe's proverbial fury don't end there. His anger towards Pope John Paul II, who fled this world with regret because he did not make peace with Fevzo, has remained in history. The story started with the persistent request of the Vatican, that the Pope give an interview to Fevzo. But Fevzo had his whole calendar busy, having invited Tan Lamen with a stick in hand, two famous chronicling journalists who know the crimes that are going to happen before the perpetrators themselves know, as well as three kitchen experts who will they talked about unleavened bread.

"I'm leaving on Wednesday, because I don't have time, " said Fevzo to the Pope. The endless prayers of the desolate John Paul were of no avail. "Listen here, don't call me again," Fevzo told him, " if you wanted, I'll arrange for Bruno Vespa to interview you, he's a promising guy. You have no more business with me!"

Other angers with the name of Fevzo are those against American Presidents Clinton, Young Bush and Obama, Chancellor Merkel, Nelson Mandela, the eminent Cardinal Desmond Tutu, Boris Yeltsin, King Zog, former Chinese President Hu Jintao, King Farouk of Egypt, etc. Although he hasn't written books for everyone, he has plenty of stories about each of them, which he shares with fans at the 26th Fevzo Book Fair.

That's what happened yesterday, when Fevzo was telling how he once begged Queen Elizabeth to call him on the show. At that moment, an old man shyly approached, embarrassed that he was late.

" Moos, have I started?" , the man whispered, but Fevzo heard him and interrupted the story.

"Don't look, Mr. Kadare has also pleased us, " he laughed with his typical Fevzo modesty, " did you take Malo, are you still late?"
