After the merger of 15 municipalities, the Socialists seem to be taking another initiative.
The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, today invited the Democratic Party to discuss constitutional amendments to reduce the number of MPs from 140 to 101.
He said that the SP presented this proposal at the beginning of the year and that it is also open to discussions on constitutional changes related to the regions.
"We came at the beginning of this year with the proposal for constitutional amendments, to go from 140 members of the Assembly to 101.
"If the DP is ready, I invite them to determine the constitutional changes. If the DP wants to make constitutional changes for the regions, we are open to discussions," Balla said.
