American rapper Offset was shot and wounded in Florida, near a casino, on Monday evening.
According to American media, the 34-year-old, Cardi B's ex-husband, was shot near the parking lot of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, in the city of Hollywood.
Representatives for the artist confirmed that his life is out of danger. "He is in stable condition and receiving medical care in hospital," they said.
Local police said the incident occurred at around 7:00 p.m. and that the situation was quickly brought under control. Two people have been detained, while investigations are ongoing.
According to authorities, the injured person suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Witnesses at the scene said the rapper had been talking to fans a few minutes before the shooting, and even took photos with them.
The incident comes several years after the murder of former Migos member Takeoff, who was shot dead in 2022 in the US.
Offset is one of the most recognizable names in the hip-hop scene and a former member of the group Migos, as well as the ex-husband of rapper Cardi B.
