There is almost no Albanian family that did not have a member who watched the famous Turkish soap opera "Ezel".

Among the main characters was "uncle" or Ramiz Karaeski (the real name of the actor - Tuncel Kurtiz), that Albanians were taken aback by his statements in the film.

The echoes of his expressions continue to remain current, despite the fact that the telenovela has been broadcast for years and even the "uncle" himself (Tuncel Kurtiz) passed away in September 2013.

Tuncel Kurtiz was born in 1936, in Izmit, Kocaeli province, during his career he worked as a screenwriter, actor and director.

Since 1958, he has performed on various stages in theaters in Istanbul and found in Turkey, he has also played in the Royal Theater of Stockholm and the Swedish Theatre, then he has been part of performances in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and in England.

During his career, he won various awards as an actor and as a screenwriter.

One of the most important roles was in the movie "Suru" and then in numerous television series.

In Albania, Tuncel Kurtizu became very popular with the role of Ramiz Karaeski alias "uncle" in the series "Ezel", which was also his most important role in the last years of his life.

Kurtiz died on September 27, 2013. According to Turkish media, he died of head injuries after falling at his home in Istanbul.
