There is no end to mysteries in this world. Find out what this city is where you are not allowed to be born or die.

It may sound out of this world, but it is completely true, there is a place here on earth that surpasses all expectations.

In the small settlement called Longyearbyen in central Svalbard, Norway, there are some very special laws followed by its 2,000 residents.

This settlement is known as the closest city to the North Pole, so in the winter period the night can last up to 4 months.

Apart from being a dark and cold place, this small town began to attract many tourists, not only for its fascinating history, but also for its importance for the future of humanity.

History of the settlement

Longyearbyen was established as a settlement for people who worked in the coal mine, which at the time was one of the largest coal mines in Scandinavia.

In the 90s when the mine was exhausted, the workers did not leave, but settled there creating this small town.

For all these reasons, the residents of this area have had to implement some harsh laws that may not make sense to foreigners, but for them, they are the only way they have had to survive.

Neither dying nor being born is allowed

More precisely, it is neither allowed to die nor to bring someone back to life.

Ndaj, për të shmangur çdo rrezik gjatë lindjes, gratë shtatzënë janë të detyruara të shkojnë në qytetin më të afërt i cili ka një maternitet. Edhe një herë, për të shmangur çdo vdekje të panevojshme.

Kjo për shkak se macet mund të gjuajnë zogjtë që jetojnë apo vërtiten në këtë qytet duke bërë që ata të zhduken. Pra, në vend që të marrin një rrezik të panevojshëm, ata e shmangin atë.

This country is so obsessed with 'survival' that in the place where the coal mine used to be, they have built a Seed Bank - which is a collection of over 800,000 seeds of different types of plants and trees that would serve as a real treasure in the event of a disaster or unexpected event that would risk extinguishing life on earth.
