A sad story comes from Forli, Italy. Danieli, 24 years old, committed suicide in September 2021 after a virtual romance with a girl who was allegedly hiding behind a 64-year-old man. Parents now want justice.

The man talked to Daniel for a year and pretended to be "Irena". He sent her 8,000 love messages, with promises of marriage and children and full of images of a beautiful but non-existent 20-year-old.

It was in one of the photos of "Irena" posted on a website that Daniel came across one day. So he asked the "girl" for an explanation, but she cut him short by "shaking her hands" brutally. So Daniel killed himself leaving a sweet letter to his family ("I never told you, but I love you like the whole world..."), Italian media reports.

Only then did the mother and father discover the parallel life of their son. And now they want justice.

Followed by the messenger of the "Le Iene" show, the 64-year-old for his part first justified himself by claiming that "it was a joke... I didn't want it to end like this", then mentioning the responsibility to Daniel: "If there were problems seriously, it's not my fault" and talked about the fake relationship as a "game that lasted quite a while".

In "Resto del Carlino", the man said: "I am tired, they are destroying my life".
