Unexpected / The famous influencer passes away at the age of 22, a few weeks

The sudden death of 22-year-old Brazilian Maria Eduarda Alves dos Santos has caused sadness among hundreds of thousands of her followers on social media.

Known on TikTok as Duda Alves, the influencer had amassed more than 750,000 followers, while her videos included moments from everyday life, personal stories, and humorous content.

Her death was confirmed by family and friends on social media, while Brazilian authorities have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident. Among the clues being examined is the possibility of suicide, but so far no official conclusion on the cause of death has been made public.

Just a few weeks before her death, the 22-year-old had spoken publicly to her followers about her decision to undergo a mastopexy, a surgical procedure to lift and reshape the breasts.

She explained that the decision was related to both aesthetic reasons and everyday comfort.

According to her, due to her height, she felt her chest was disproportionate to her body and had also experienced back pain.

"I took off about half of what I had. It was more of an aesthetic issue. I wanted to be able to wear clothes without bras and have more freedom," she told her followers.

After the intervention, the influencer also spoke about the comments she received from male followers on social media.

Following the news of her death, friends and relatives have posted touching messages on social media.

Her friend, Sara Mahdavi, described Duda as a person who had become part of her family.

"Duda, besides being my best friend, was my family, my love, and so much more than I could ever imagine," she wrote.

Her cousin, Geovana Alves, 19, said she had the privilege of knowing her for 19 years.

Another friend, Clarissa Pavie, remembered Duda for her humor and authenticity.

The funeral ceremony took place on Tuesday at a church in São Paulo, where the 22-year-old's father thanked everyone who stood by the family and expressed their love for his daughter.

Investigations into the circumstances of Duda Alves' death continue.
