Actress Anna Lika has remembered her mother on the anniversary of her death. She has published a photo of her late mother holding her in her arms when she was a baby.

Anna Lika has revealed the promise she could not keep to her mother, so as not to see her with tears in her eyes.

"I apologize for this," she writes, expressing that she misses her mother very much.

"Today marks 1 year without you, my dear. I can't say if this year has gone by quickly or if this year has seemed like an eternity without you... December 25th has always been a day of celebration for us because that's how you taught us, but can we still celebrate this day without you? Oh, how many things I want to tell you, but I don't know where to start.

I miss you so much, I miss you every day. Every night I lay my head on the pillow and tell you how much I love you, I don't know if you hear me... I was lucky to have a mom like you and I would love to be 1/4 of you for my daughter. I will tell her every day about you, I will tell her how wonderful you were.

"Like a year ago today I promised you that you would never see me with tears in your eyes, but today I can't keep that promise and I apologize for this. I love you very much and I will always love you, my beauty," writes Anna Lika.
