Facebook goes down, millions of users have no access to the platform via desktop

Millions of Facebook users are having trouble using the desktop app. Users of the social network are facing the message "Account is temporarily unavailable."

According to preliminary reports, the outage began at 09:30 due to a major global technical defect.

There have also been difficulties in sending and receiving messages on Messenger. Meta's teams are working to restore the service to normal.
