New details have come to light from the scandal of parties with escorts of Serie A footballers. As Corriere Della Sera writes, which has obtained some of the Guardia Di Finanza's responses, it appears that players from important Italian teams such as Inter, Milan and Juventus participated in these nightclub events, some of which were illegal, where drugs were also used, as mentioned in this case.
Around 70 footballers, most of them from Serie A, who spend thousands of euros enjoying the company of the same famous models, but above all, prostitutes recruited by the events agency at the center of the investigation that led to the house arrest of four people accused of criminal conspiracy to aid and abet prostitution and other crimes.
Perhaps a sociologist could answer the question of why so many young, wealthy and internationally famous footballers, as reported in the investigation by the Milan Prosecutor's Office, have to pay for an escort after a match at the "San Siro".
However, it is a fact that Deborah Ronchi, the 38-year-old owner of Ma.De. Milano in Cinisello Balsamo, and her partner, Emanuele Buttini, 37, were constantly looking for girls to join the business, which operated from 26 nightlife venues in Milan and others on the Greek island of Mykonos.
It was there that the organization moved to wineries, all unrelated to the prostitution ring. The girls, as usual, received a 10% cut of the drinks, on which the wealthy footballers spent up to 3,000 euros per night.
“ I’m having late-night meetings,” Buttini, overwhelmed by work, tells his wife as he is being wiretapped by the Guardia di Finanza. “There must be some footballers… I need someone to catch them… let’s think about who they catch and who works for us… but we need two or three more hours of alert ,” warns Fabio Barbera, 36, speaking to Alessio Salamone, 32.
Both are under house arrest because they maintained "contact with internationally renowned footballers who are clients of the association" and women, writes Deputy Prosecutor Bruna Albertini.
The investigation stems from statements by a woman from Eastern Europe who reported that in the building where she lives, where Ma.De. is headquartered, there was an illegal nightclub where parties were organized with escorts who live in the same building.
"I was asked several times to sleep with clients for money," she said, adding that a Colombian woman had confessed to her that she had been forced into prostitution for 1,000 euros, half of which would be given to the Buttini-Ronchi couple.
According to prosecutor Bruna Albertini, the two could rely on six regular escorts and around 100 girls aged 19 to 22, Italian and foreign, for their nights in clubs.
The girl had also learned that during the parties, the footballers inhaled laughing gas (nitrous oxide) from balloons provided by the suspects, a psychoactive substance and anesthetic that is not detected in anti-doping tests and is therefore highly valued by athletes.
Footballers were the association's "target market." Of the over 1.2 million euros in revenue over two years, almost 200,000 euros came from bank transfers from football players from teams such as Milan, Inter, Juventus, Torino, Sassuolo, Monza and Verona.
Several names are mentioned in the documents. Also mentioned are hockey players, entrepreneurs and a Formula 1 driver.
Customers weren't paying right away; they had to follow up. "I need to figure out how much money I need to get back," Salamone tells Barbera, who replies, "So, 1,000 of the... (no pun intended), 3,280 of the (no pun intended), wait, I'll tell you (no pun intended) right away, hold on, 3,420." There may have been an accident.
A companion addresses one of the suspects, seemingly unfazed: “I’m going to tell you something, but don’t tell anyone… I just took a test and I’m pregnant… for more than three weeks,” and mentions the footballer she had paid for a one-night stand with. He is 26 years old and plays for a small team in Serie A.
